Founded in 2002, the digital printing company Digital Printz in Osasco, São Paulo, Brazil, offers a wide range of printing services, including business cards, flyers, brochures and much more. The company also produces labels and large format prints such as posters. In addition to digital sheet-fed printing presses from HP and Canon, Digital Printz uses flatbed printing systems from Afga. In order to supply the printing presses reliably and smoothly with optimally prepared print files, the print business has now automated prepress and file preparation with software for digital printing from OneVision.
Besides the integration to the web-to-print portal, the automation focuses on the automated checking and preparation of the print files and the comprehensive workflow management of the jobs. This process was previously completely manual and has now been fully automated by the software for digital printing.

The bottleneck at Digital Printz was the amount of time the prepress team needed for file handling and the equally time-consuming checking and error correction of the print files. Thanks to automation with the OneVision software for digital printing, the received print files are now checked directly in preflight for up to 130 different criteria and any errors detected are corrected immediately as well as automatically. For example, the software takes over the flattening of transparencies, color management, normalization and many other corrections in order to optimally prepare the files for the production process. Automated workflow management
The digital job ticket ensures targeted routing of print jobs in the workflow. The workflow management system of the OneVision software manages the preparation and processing of individual print jobs based on job properties such as format, delivery date or print run. In this way, jobs are automatically forwarded to the correct printing press. In addition, the production process of individual products of one order can be controlled so that all products of the order are dispatched together. More about workflow automation
Seamless data exchange through integration with existing systems
By connecting the eCommerce web shop – a large web-to-print platform – orders are coming directly into the workflow of the software for digital printing. The software solution also connects ERP and MIS systems as middleware. Countless interfaces to common systems already exist for this purpose. In addition, integrations can be created if the data exchange takes place in a structured form.
After file preparation, the printing systems from Digital Printz are also connected to the OneVision solution. This means that the print files are tailored directly to the requirements of the respective Canon, HP or Afga presses and then transferred to the DFEs. More about system integration
