OneVision Software together with HP and Canon as print workflow automation experts at Print Innovation Week

In fact, we had imagined it all quite differently: drupa, the world's largest exhibition for the printing industry, would have been kicked off on June 16. Several hundred thousand visitors from more than 150 countries around the world would have come to learn about the latest trends and technologies in printing. However, Covid19 has thwarted all the participants of the worldwide industry meeting.

Nevertheless, the stage would be ready: There is still a need for information on behalf of the print service providers. Solution providers have also continued to work on new technologies... To ensure that the sharing of information can still take place, Print.de / Deutscher Drucker is hosting a series of webinars on the latest printing technology topics from 16 to 18 June. The contributions could not be more diverse and will give printers and printing companies a comprehensive overview of the most important technologies for a holistic, integrated print production workflow:

  • From offset to digital printing;
  • From entering the print job to the automated preparation of print and finishing files;
  • From the successful application of inkjet technologies to the latest innovations in sheet fed offset printing;

During the three days, print service providers will receive answers to central questions like these through panel discussions and presentations:

  • Which printing technology is the right one for which type of print jobs?
  • Which systems support printers in creating print data quickly and without errors?
  • What innovations are there in the field of inkjet?
  • How can a printing company increase its profitability while delivering high-quality print products to its customers in less than 24 hours?

The requirements of printing companies are obvious: resources - be it staff or materials - must be used as efficiently as possible to increase overall profitability. The production chain from order entry to prepress, press and post press must be well planned and coordinated.

This can only be achieved through the interaction of software and hardware. The mix of presentations reflects exactly this: the presentations are all about the interaction of software and hardware:

  • MIS & ERP:
    MIS (Management Information Systems), which take care of order entry, calculation, invoicing, etc., provide relief in the entire order management. Obility is one of the leading providers in this area and gives an insight
  • Workflow systems and prepress software:
    If print data that is not matching the corresponding machine profile is sent to the RIP/DFE, RIP times, production times and print quality suffer.
    This is where we, OneVision Software, are invited to share with print service providers the key factors to the successful automation of print workflows and the automated correction and preparation of print files
  • Canon and HP showcase innovations that are driving print automation and therefore production speed and efficiency
  • And finally, the topic "Faster and more efficient in postpress" completes the wide-ranging program

Furthermore, the different backgrounds and areas of responsibility of the speakers make the sessions very varied. For example, the worldwide General Manager of HP's Indigo Division, Alon Bar-Shany, will not miss the opportunity to give an up-to-date market assessment on the topic of inkjet.

The webinar will be held in German. Participation is free of charge. Register here »
