History and strategy
OneVision Software AG was founded in Regensburg in 1994. Initially, the company's focus was on software solutions for newspaper publishers. With its automated solutions for prepress – Asura and Solvero, OneVision successfully established itself as the leading printing software provider for publishers and printing companies within just a few years. Newspaper publishers from around the world, including the Financial Times, UK News, Times of India or Tagesspiegel of Berlin are using our automated data normalization and preflighting solutions.
Of course, the software for automating prepress processes also benefits the commercial printing industry. Based on a modular software structure, our solutions can be adopted by large as well as small publishing or commercial printing companies.
We are driven by our customers' success. Our top priority is servicing good customer relations. After all, this is one reason why our customers recognize us as a trusted partner. Many relations with customers have evolved into working partnerships that allow us to recognize our customers' needs at an early stage and make them the basis of our software development.
Our knowledge of our customers' needs and our printing industry expertise was and remains the foundation on which we develop new highly automated software solutions for the printing and media prepress stage. Over the past 10 years our product range expanded massively to include software solutions next to automated data normalization and interactive processing of images, data and copy in prepress: software for automated image enhancement, software for process automation and control (workflow management) and cross-media publishing tools.
Thanks to this comprehensive range of software solutions we have come to be perceived as a competent solutions provider for many industries. Today, in addition to newspaper publishers and printers, magazine publishers and ad agencies have also come to benefit from our core competencies in color management, production data normalization and automated workflow management. More than 3,000 companies from the global media and printing industries are relying on the proven solutions from OneVision.
"Once OneVision, always OneVision"
More than 50% of our customers use more than one of our software solutions. The majority of our customers have been utilizing our software solutions for many years and benefit from the latest features and developments thanks to the frequent software updates that are included in a service contract.
Overall, when utilizing our solutions our customers profit from faster work processes since their production is highly automated. At the same time, our software solutions are helping our customers cut their costs and increase their profitability as well as optimize the quality of their data.
Our 6 branch offices are an important factor in OneVision's global success. The sales offices in Singapore, the USA, Brazil, India, France and the UK are independent actors in their markets but they also remain in close contact with the head office in Regensburg, where the major part of our product development is also located.
To allow us to focus better on international markets and customers – in addition to the German speaking markets – we opened our first sales office in the USA in 1998. It was then located in New York City. This branch office has now relocated to Andover, near Boston/Massachusetts. This is also where the development team for OneVision's digital publishing solution Mirado is located.
In 2000 and 2001 our next sales offices opened in the UK and France. Since 2005, a OneVision sales office in São Paulo serves the Latin American markets. In 2009 and 2010 OneVision followed through on a decision to establish a business presence in the Asian and Pan-Pacific markets by opening branch offices in Singapore and India.
