New team introducing new publishing software releases to US market – OneVision Inc. on expansion course
OneVision Inc., the US subsidiary company of German printing and publishing software manufacturer OneVision Software, appoints prepress and premedia specialist Shawn Lowe Vice President Sales and workflow expert Diego Wharton Technical Sales Manager. The new sales team is aiming at ensuring customer care at highest level as well as expanding the position of the software company as leading provider for software solutions for the printing industry, publishers and media companies in North America.
Regensburg/Andover. With its new team OneVision has managed to blend a new sales team of true industry insiders and highly experienced technical experts: In his new role as Vice President Sales of Andover-based OneVision Inc. print production specialist Shawn Lowe takes over responsibility for the sales activities in the North American market. In all technical matters Lowe gets support by workflow specialist and new OneVision member Diego Wharton and Chuck Thornburg as Technical Sales Support Specialists. Inside Sales Representative Maria Goldsmith completes the new OneVision US team.
With more than 25 years’ experience under his belt, Lowe developed a deep understanding of the importance of providing highest output quality while managing time and cost pressure in production processes in today’s publishing world. As Print/Mobile and Operations Director for DuJour Media, a print and digital luxury lifestyle publishing brand that is distributed to more than 150,000 readers, Lowe’s responsibility was to facilitate the creation and delivery of DuJour’s Quarterly Magazine and App to its uniquely targeted audience. This was not the first touch point with the publishing industry for Lowe. In his role as Manufacturing Director at Niche Media, the 56 year old New Yorker took over responsibility for the production of all 8 Niche titles across the U.S. including all collateral print activities. Prior to Niche Media, Shawn Lowe was Senior Production Manager of the Creative Services Department at the New York Times, overseeing all print and collateral sales materials.
Profound industry know-how to deliver ideal workflow solutions for greater efficiency
Shawn Lowe’s wide-ranging areas of responsibility have enabled him to develop far-reaching expertise in the entire printing process: "Taking on the responsibility for all internal digital workflows, circulation, distribution and quality control including imaging and prepress, gives me the opportunity to use my knowledge about the complex workflow environments and challenges in today's multi-platform publishing world. My main task will be to support media producing and publishing companies to set up the most efficient workflow for their production.”
With their second new entry OneVision gets first-hand customer experience: Workflow expert Diego Wharton, who had been working for the North Jersey Media Group in the past 16 years, will be supporting Lowe as Technical Sales Support. At NJMG Wharton held various positions within the IT department and helped the publishing company to successfully change to a digital workflow. “Working close with the ad, editorial, layout and press room departments, we managed the gap between the various systems and could create a smooth, automated and reliable workflow” outlines the technical specialist. In cooperation with his colleague Chuck Thornburg both are looking forward to deliver helpful solutions and explanations in all technical terms.
“Gaining industry insiders like Shawn Lowe and Diego Wharton will be invigorating for our US Company. Our customers and prospects will surely benefit from their profound know-how and our long-lasting experience. With this strong and motivated team we will provide optimal workflow solutions as well as the best possible technical service to the printing, publishing and graphics industry”, says Hussein Khalil, the CEO of OneVision Software AG.
“The applications offer exactly the kind of solutions printing companies and publishers are looking for in their prepress and premedia activities“
To strengthen OneVision’s position as the leading provider for software solutions for the graphics, printing and publishing industry as well as providing valuable workflow consulting are among the primary objectives of the new sales team. As it is to some extent still a well-kept secret that the applications offer exactly the kind of solutions printing companies and publishers are looking for in their prepress and premedia activities, Lowe has one more goal: “OneVision offers unique solutions which are absolutely well-known and established in the newspaper market. But also the magazine market as well as commercial and digital printers can profit from the time and cost savings and quality increase they can reach by implementing optimal workflow environments. The market needs to know its possibilities”, concludes Lowe.
As OneVision will be launching its new software releases for its preflighting (Asura), image enhancement (Amendo) and workflow management software (Workspace) shortly, the team will be introducing the new features at the America East Media Business and Technology Conference at Hershey, PA, April 10-12.
